Well folks, unless you were a fly on the wall in the meeting between DLA and GP during the negotiations for the release of these trucks, or unless GP just comes right out and tells us, it is "my" beleif that the Off road use only was a DLA requirement that allowed " for the first time ever"...
the form clearly states "no alterations", that stamp is in NO box provided to be filled out, says it must all be "machine prepared", meaning, the data cannot be written in, but must be computer or typewriter print.
I have already had a DMV turn down my SF97's due to the stamp....nothing else...
hmmwv's don't have electric lift pumps, I'm not understanding why you think yours needs something that's not on hundreds of thousands of the same vehicle, as well as god knows how many GM vehicles.....the mechanical fuel pump.
even if your fuel pump fails, your IJ pump has enough suction to draw...
And Gp continues to sell M1123's without that same restriction, as well as previously auctioned vehicles that were titled and then put up for sale on the same web site for sale...I.E. Plan B supply.
its hypocrisy at its finest...

S3 Enhancements over the EESS
A backwards compatible design with improvements for known fieldissues:
Elimination of pulsing headlamps and voltmeter gauges.
Immunity to glow plug re-activation when horn is used.
Provides for lower current starter switch as well as starter lockout while engine is...
the S3 fixed a lot of issues, the one main issue I think is paramount is that it is ground fault tolerant.
i think today that most if not all GP's are "non swelling" from my research.
thtat doesent meAn there won't be splatter, just not swollen and split plugs.
I put in NOS glow plugs and have no issues...the part number is etched into the glow plug.
if your system is working correctly, you will have no issues with glow plugs....that's is why I stress replacing your EESS with an S3, new plugs etc....folks have no problem dropping 8-?k on a truck, but...
The TM shows them as 6001784 and 6009350
you will need to order from a provider such as hummer parts guy.
you need to look in the TM for the parts break down...the figure shows one hub but all the parts for both types of hubs.
You will need to change your steering control arm covers and spindles to CTIS as well...once that's done, you can hook up most anything to air up, airing down will require a hummer H1 type CTIS manifold, not cheap...but available.
the lower inner bearing cones need to be removed and the shim...
After 10 trucks, I have a ton of crap...jacks, jack handles, bottle jacks, document bags, TM's, rank, patches, straps of every assortment, antenna pieces...the list goes on.
Just search the local auction sites...that pretty much dictate current prices....it's a supply and demand issue now that GMA is out of business and govt is no longer mfg'ing soft skinned vehicles.
i see just rear curtains going for 700.00 bucks...shipping is the killer on these kits if it...
Thats why the TSU is there guys. It tells the box that it needs or does not need glow plug power based on temp..120 IIRC.
The Older KDS EESS works the same way, but the yellow label Nartron does not for whatever reason, that one goes on every time regardless of eng temp. I own 6.2's in other...
