I prefer the MM for a host of reasons, one being no loss of approach angle, the 2nd and most important is duty cycle.
MM winches have no duty cycle, as long as the engine is running, you can pull all day long.
all the current trucks I see on base have Milemarkers....can't say I've ever seen a...
What panals are we taking about? I have done entire trucks sitting on a concrete surface.the panels either line up or they don't...I can tell you from experience, i have seen a lot of panals on factory trucks that have a lot to be desired.
I have done more body off restorations and tub rebuilds than I can remember, I never needed a jig.
all you need to do is support the rear bed area once it's on the ground as if it was on the body.
lucky for you there are a lot of takeout motors due to the scrapping going on....I have a 6.5 rebuilt here if your interested.
but probably easier to source locally.
The harness for the hard top has packard connectors on it that plug direct into the body harness....I never use the contact type OEM connector anymore....I don't put my windshield down anyway. It's much more reliable then OEM set up.
I that all the time...one issue is, don't forget to install the foam cushion seal on the top connector, that keeps the water out. I would seal up that area with silicon if you put in a new box as well as use the seal.
hey, good looking set of trucks!
Daniel is a top notch guy, highly recommend. His company is my first call for my transportation needs every time.
thanks Dan....
Most winches have a "free spool" position so that you can pay out all the cable needed for a recovery, you never want to payout your cable for long lengths via the motor.
but still, with no pic of your actual controller, I have no idea what you have, sorry...but there are just to many...
here is my list of items that I have found to be the culprit...and never once once was it a motor issue.
1. Bad Gauge
2. Gauge wiring
3. Oil pressure sending unit
4. Oil pressure sending unit wireing/ faulty connection
As has been suggested, hookup a mechanical gausge direct to the oil...
No need to replace all of them...if you cracked an injector and it went away, that's the one you want to replace.
imhave successfully unstuck them by revving the motor and at the same time cracking the IJ line and then tightening it back up...those injectors can make serious noise, sounds like a...
That's a normal function called after glow....only problem is it's only supposed to do that for about 1-2mins and then stop.
this is controlled by your EESS...I'm assuming the timer function that controls after glow has gone haywire.
most likely need a new EESS.
The matched set thing is a thing of the past...just buy new belts at Napa, I personally have never had an issue, nor do they sell them matched, you can try and get them to match but I find the stock is mixed from different order dates or just pulling them from the box and stocking them in...
