Going to replace them as needed. I already have a new hose to use from the fuel filter housing to the IP. Just have to install the proper fitting on the new fuel housing end.
I think it still has a fuel issue. Going to upgrade the fuel filter while I am at it so I don't have to waste money on hoses or fittings that I will not need with the new filter housing. Hopefully it will not be too difficult to pinpoint the leak/clogging.
I want to use a pallet jack to remove the drum. Just place 3/4" plywood under the wheel so it will roll out easy. I can add wood shoring and strap to secure the drum in place. ( I have a narrow and regular pallet jacks)
I came up with another idea on getting the Super Single Spare tire to fit in the slot on the M936A0. I was out this evening looking at the area and it hit me. Why not cut the cap on top of the wall off wide enough to fit the spare. I will also need to cut the two 3x3 support STUDS in the...
Installed the starter myself today. Was not that bad. Bolts cooperated and went right in. Got it all wired in and hooked up the batteries. Tried to crank but batteries were low! Used the slave cable to the M1008 and she cranked nicely. Had to use ether to start but she caught on and ran...
After a slight delay waiting for parts to recondition my starter, the starter shop call late yesterday to let me know I could pick up the starter this morning. I drove to Biloxi and picked it up early this afternoon. Looks like new! We will install it tomorrow.
I measured the width of the tool box in the back of my M936A0 wrecker. I got 23" wide. According to M35A2-AZ the M936A1 has a 20" wide tool box. SO that is how they got the additional space to put the super single spare in back of the wrecker.
Upon inspection it looks like the tool box is...
Best I can suggest is putting a air ride seat in there. Best mod for any MV. If you use a 1/8" plate on the bottom of the air ride seat you can swap it out with the springer in a few minutes. (use the existing plate on the springer as a template.)
According to M35A2-AZ they made the tool box narrower to accommodate the wider tires. Here are the pictures he sent me. He gave a 20" measurement for the width of the tool box on A1 and A2 models. I will measure my A0 today to verify it is wider.
I upgraded the tires on my M936 wrecker to the 14.00-20 tires and rims. According to my measurements the spare tire is gonna be a tight fit if it fits at all. I measured 13-1/2" opening in the floor between the tool boxes and the tire support wall. I got approx. 14-1/2" for the tire...
After reinstalling the solenoid I tried to crank the truck. No cranking at all. Tried to bypass the switch by jumping the terminals on the starter. Still no crank. Took out my meter and tested the terminals on the starter motor while jumping the terminals on the solenoid. I got 24 volts at...
Is your fan clutch kicking in when engine temp is higher than 190? Do you have a infrared thermometer to test engine and radiator temperatures when "overheated"? Your temp sensor could be defective. It's a common issue.
Basically is the water boiling or bubbling. One is temp related and...
I remember reading a similar issue where a gasket leak in the air compressor was pressurizing the engine cooling system. The member complained about air bubbles coming out the overflow tank. Check the air compressor for leaking head gasket. If I am wrong please correct me.
