    Clogged Up Catalytic Converter?

. Well... There is a "Cat Pipe" that you could install in place of your converter. Not to break the law - but to test and prove the theory that your CAT might be Clogged. Chances are that is the problem...

New Tx Member- Just won Auction for M1097A2

. Welcome to the Outfit! Be sure to post some pictures - maybe even some with your "New-To-You" truck still on the trailer! Then once you have her on the ground, more pictures. Some with the hood up, the doors open (if you have them) and from all sides. That way you will put a "stake in the...

Alaska : looking meet other members.

. Welcome to the Outfit! Any chance you could share some pictures? The few pictures I have seen of the M76 appear to have tires inside the track for "bogies". Is that so? Seems like that would improve the ride in a 1960's baby tank...

    What fluid goes here?

. Based on the message count that you have and the question about what fluid goes here - I am thinking you are new to the hobby and this group. So, Welcome to the Outfit! Snap us some pictures of the rest of your truck. That way we can see what you have going on. You may want to spend a few...

All setup at the Price of Freedom Museum

. Very NICE presentation! Funny how it works. I have lived in Charlotte my entire life - with the exception of military service - and have never heard or seen anything about that museum. I dropped a link below. I plan to take a short trip and visit...

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

. Well, either you got more than I did - or - I was slighted on my air dryer. When I removed mine for service there were no wires to connect and nothing I could connect to if I had wanted to. These trucks were built under constant change orders.

New M-1083 owner. So, here we go!!

. Factory OEM doesn't have power for a heater in cold environments. Plumbing would be the same. Just remember "height" should be considered when you install.

Are the newer ball-joint style torque rod ends still available anywhere?

. Guessing that the 5-Ton will be having the same sort of problem soon... I remember days gone by when we used a 50 ton press to punch out the old sleeve and rubber, then replace it with new "ends". Can't help but wonder if we could find just the end pieces. Found SECO offering 12pc inserts...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

. Absolutely! Grits are simply a medium by which the butter, possibly bacon, and a dash of sugar are moved toward the mouth.

HMMWV h1 6.5 non turbo crank wont start

. Welcome to the Outfit! Post up some pictures so we know for sure what you have - and to put a stake in the ground - so you can have picture of where you started. Be sure to download the Technical Manuals too. That will help with troubleshooting as well... .

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. The recommendation is to always replace batteries in pairs. Helps avoid overcharging a smaller battery and possibly "cooking" a generator or alternator.

    The Project

. I see a steering wheel... That's a good start. Start taking pictures as you work on it. That way the rest of us can admire your handy work. .

    Truck History

. Welcome to the Outfit! You need to snap some pictures of your truck to kinda "put a stake in the ground" so you can see your progress as you work along. AND with pictures the rest of us can enjoy your vehicle too! .

    Replacing Differential Gear Oil

. I have to agree with @juanprado . Definitely nothing to be gained by going to Synthetic. In my opinion, if you aren't running through creeks and mud holes you could easily get to double your current mileage and still be clean.
