Well said blutow. I prefer hearing the motor turn and the gears whir myself. I don't do that all day every day either, so earplugs making music might be nice. I would be worried I wouldn't hear an emergency vehicle - so it won't be happening for me.
The comment I made earlier was a...

Hi Freshstart ,
Just being nosy... Anything new on the move and how it might be going?
Maybe how many sacks of money is all this going to take and stuff like that?

Nice! It really would be good if it wasn't a struggle.
You know, a struggle to give the state more money. Because we want to tag the trucks and then more money could flow into our economy for insurance - oh and don't forget more money from taxes on fuel. Oh, and don't forget that a twenty...

Have you completed the special retro-fit?
The one with the little Ball Peen Hammer attachment?
The one that pops out and raps the operator between the eyes when they don't WAIT?

So, now we have a problem.
The yellow painted gladhand has the words "service" typed above the picture.
Your wording says "emerg" in post #6.
I'm thinking one of those statements are wrong. OR the wrong part is on one truck or the other.

Oh boy... I don't get to do this often:
13 + 4 = 17
OR
Did they do it wrong?
EDIT: Discovered with help that a legitimate 14 digit VIN is also possible, confirmed by the authorities, and gets your truck out of the mess with the short serial.

Dirt Daubers or maybe Spiders?
Something restricting the vent tube?
Maybe even a kink in your vent line?
Based on what you described, it has to be something like that. Normally the gearboxes breathe as they get warm. Something had to have been restricting the air - then when it wasn't...

I wonder how much fun you might have capturing that dirt off the floor, loading it in a ZipLock bag and listing it on Epay.
Starting bid of $45 with shipping in the 50 states could be included.

My opinion is that that build looks pretty darn good.
Even taped up and ready to paint is pretty impressive...
Can't wait to see more pictures as you get it sprayed!

I sure was glad to see somebody else with that opinion. I didn't want to say it out loud or too loudly. Seemed to me that since there was no chance of knowing that the dust needed to get wiped off - it grew :)
That might have been Official Military Dirt too!

Whatever you do, don't "cheap out" and decide that you don't need the fuse. I am a little concerned that the fuse didn't blow and stop the current. People have been known to hack a fuse with tinfoil or worse. Wish I could wave a magic wand and tell you what happened...
Your 24v system...

Good deal! Squirt a little more MM or WD40 into those cylinders. It can't hurt a thing. If there is any sort of rust, maybe it will help soften it up. Weather here was cool in the morning, about 80 mid day and it is about 63 at 9:30 in the evening. MUCH better to work on projects!!
Happy...

Hope it's not the WooFlu.
Much as I despise a trip to the doctor, it might be worth a trip to get checked out.
A lot of this mess can be put to rest with meds sooner rather than later...
Best of health to you!
