    CUCV Long Term storage container

I think I will just put the transfer case in neutral and push it inside. Even if I could crawl out the window would be down. Don't want that. Going to put the M1009 inside and I am looking for another M1008 to store. The 1009 is a rust free one and runs great. I don't drive it very much at...

Need new dashpad. Which brand has held up best?

They did mention that when I told them it was for a CUCV. They were great......until I paid. Then crickets. I understand delays. Just TELL me about it. I will not use them again.

Need new dashpad. Which brand has held up best?

Any surplus ones, unless fairly new, will be old and brittle even in the box I bet. My original dash is being redone at just dashes. When it comes back, I will be done with dashes for a while. Will keep the new one installed now as backup or sell it. Don't know right now.

    Thoughts on this M1028A2

Seems like a nice truck., except for that bed. Not my style at all. If purchased for a good price the bed would be the very first thing to go. For that asking price I wouldn't even look twice at it. The original bed will do more than that silly one.

Has/Is anyone stored a CUCV in these? Would like to see some pics and hear what works and what doesn't using these to store a truck(s).

    Quieter, Better MPG 6.2 Diesel.

Well said.. I do use STP. Always have.....Always will 390,000 so far on my 06 LBZ duramax. Close to 89k total on my M1008. 7k since I bought it from GP. They both run like a top and sound great. Not too loud. Still getting 25mpg on duramax. Im a firm believer in changeing the oil when...

    Quieter, Better MPG 6.2 Diesel.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Its a diesel. Their loud. Its a fact some CUCVs are louder than others. Two cycle oil in the fuel made mine a lot less noisy. Also getting 20mpg. You can almost buy a whole truck for that price. I'll pass

    Radiator cap problem

Use a Dremel and cut it off very carefully. Last Resort.

    CUCV Long Term storage container

Agree Ive used them for years. Haven't tried truck storage yet. Will be doing that for sure in the very near future. Just never seen any like these before. I just can't justify that cost. Wife would kill me. Same thing Brand new without camo is 1k cheaper. Definitely charging a premium...

    CUCV Long Term storage container

I bought some storage containers last week and saw these. They literally just arrived and the other one was still on the truck. Brand new 40' High box 9'6" Corden Steel . Whomever did the paint, they did a really nice job. Govt. spec for sure. Hinges have grease zerts. Perfect for storing...

    Pops in the Steering

Happens all the time in every forum. Really sucks when your having the exact same issue and find a thread , read it all, only to find out the joker didn't let anyone know if it worked or not etc. Agree Would be nice to know the outcome. Good or bad.

    Radiator cap problem

The cap might have caked up crap on it making it the way you describe. Give it a little more force without breaking it and see if that works. Totally agree on the stop leak replies. Waste of $$ and will plug your heater core for sure and does other nasty things.

    M925A2 Hauling capacity

Totally missed the k Good to know about the paint. I plan on getting a full 10 ton on first trip. Edited to correct 10 ton to 10k

    M925A2 Hauling capacity

I'm really not wanting to possibly ruin the bed paint, but I'm tired of paying a $225 haul fee on top of the cost of the gravel. Almost 20 miles from gravel place to ranch. Crazy when I have trucks that can handle the weight.

Power loss or gain depending on transmission fluid?

Was referring only to what I read on SS and other forums. If it's working for you then great! I personally wouldn't do transynd in these big trucks. I only run it in my Allison 1000 series that's in my GMC 2500HD. In my big stuff...10wt. To each his own.

    Mysterious Transmission Leak?

I would not totally bypass the radiator if you install a trans cooler. Ok in summer, but not in winter. Trans fluid needs heated up by radiator in winter to work properly. Several threads on here About it.

    Air Force CUCV

I think the non-CUCV point has been made.
