    Davey MC-2A Air Compressor manuals

Found a seller online who will sell you a downloadable copy of the TM/Manual here: https://www.bargainmarge.com/searchquick-submit.sc?org.apache.struts.taglib.html.TOKEN=b9c26c79d8265c3ddb80277d9ba414db&keywords=6MC2A I just found and bought this as I had two of these given to me in a torn down...

    Transfer case adapter mount failure...again

This! I just had to rebuild the transfer case and replace the adapter because I failed to have my rear drive shaft checked out after a catastrophic failure of the rear most U-Joint. The drive shaft was bent by this failure and knocked everything out of whack but I didn't notice at 11 pm...

    vehicle security

I was thinking the same thing. Don't all square bodies with autos just shift into gear if the key is turned to run or unlocked?

Replacement of Hi/Low beam switch on steering colum

Did mine not to long ago. I removed the plastic and metal plates under the steering column. unplugged the wiring for the switch. loosened (but didn't remove) the small bolts holding the steering column plate to the fire wall. Then removed the bolts holding the column up under the dash (two I...

    M1009 brake same as civy?

What about them looking it up by application? It might be that that part number refers to a type of pad that has been improved upon and discontinued. If they can't at least ORDER you a set of rotors and pads for an '84 Full Size Blazer, run don't walk away from this store. just my $0.02...

    M1009 brake same as civy?

I believe that you would want to ask for the parts for a '84 Chevy K5 Blazer. As I understand it, all the CUCVs were made to the '84 standard no matter the year to help cut down on parts inventory. There are a few exceptions (like my locking hubs in my '84 are a little different and take a...

Long Time Lurker, Finally Showing My M1009

New Shoes Here is a pic with the new tires on. They seem to give plenty of traction (dragged a c20 suburban with the brakes locked in loose gravel yesterday) and the road noise is no worse than before with the 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Wranglers the government left on it. I also installed a new...

    M1008 electrical gremlins

Can you tell us which battery was dead (front or rear)? Is this truck still stock (any glow plug mods been done, or a 12v conversion)? Also, can you check for voltage at the glow plug relay on the firewall with the key on? Once we have a little more info, we may be able to help. Also, others...

Long Time Lurker, Finally Showing My M1009

Just pulled the trigger on a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrains in 33x10.5x15. They had to order them in though, so another two hour round trip tomorrow to go get them put on. They cost almost as much as the truck ($1200.00)! :-( I found them cheaper, but for the other store to get them I would...

    Just picked up a 84 M1008

I would be concerned about your 12 volt accessories putting a load on your front battery with this setup. My dad used to be the fire chief in my home town. We had a couple of duces as fire trucks. They just tapped into the middle of the battery bank to get the 12v for the radios and light...

Long Time Lurker, Finally Showing My M1009

Hey All, Long time lurker, but I figured it was time to show "The World" my truck. She is an '84 M1009 with about 53,000 on the clock. Got her from French Camp, Ca on 5/11 of this year. Found that she had a broken starter bolt, which was why they couldn't get her started and I got her fairly...

    Mystery wire identification help.

Education is almost always a good thing! As for what a relay does, you can think of it's function as a switch. It is a unit that allows you to control feeding power to a device that draws more amperage than you would want to directly control with your switch-sensor-whatever. So,to give an...

Any experience towing 12 foot trailer with M1009?

I would 2nd the frame mount hitch and tranny cooler. I would also add a trailer brake to the truck before I towed anything bigger than a baby utility trailer or bass boat. Do these things, and don't expect to fly up hills, and all should be good. Good luck, if you do it let us know how it goes!

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Did your 700r4 convertion still use the 208 case? If so, isn't it supposed to be ATF in there as it is a chain type T-Case? I understand that the thing was over full, probably from the trans, but did you ever check the level before? I am just wondering, as my 208 in my 1009 has ATF as the...

Newby working thru Glow Plug diagnostics

I have had very good luck with AC Delco 60Gs as have many on this site. They are self limiting, so they SHOULDN'T swell on you like the old ones... I'd replace 'em all with these. Just my 2Cents... Have a good one, good luck, Christopher

    Starting without glow plugs?

If the relay is bad, I would just get a piece of large wire (like 2 gauge or something) and strip both ends of a 3" piece, then jumper across the relay on the firewall... If the glowplugs themselves are good, that should turn them on and heat it up, like others have said a count of 15 should do...

    Transportation

I did it no problem, picked it up in Stockton. I live in Oregon and we have Trip Permits so I scored one of those, then called my insurance company and added the vehicle. Like others have said, if you do this, bring everything you think you might need, then bring more tools and parts. I wound...

    CUCV Front proportioning valve

Other rigs to get one from Yep its to balance the front and rear breaking force. I could be wrong, its happened before, but I think almost any 80s square body truck will have this valve for you with the correct fittings. Take it easy, and good luck, Christopher

    Bubba wiring decoding help...

Fuel Pump Wiring Yes, yes there is. When I do this conversion on a truck, I tap the ign line in the fuse block to actuate a relay (like the blower fan relay that we remove from the starter circuit when we do a doghead mod. I then use a fused (usually 10a) constant hot (like tapping the same...
