I'll get you a picture of one tomorrow--the only one I have.
Wait a minute, you may be correct, it may only have 16 bolts. Regardless, I'm gonna check tomorrow.
The "plastic" lines such as are mandated for current production semi-trucks and trailers should be available at any hose or bearing supply house. Napa also carries the hose as well as fittings.
I also have a white duece. It was originally an M109, but the Army removed the box, and installed a generator in it's place. There are numerous dueces and other vehicles painted solid white at White Sands Missile Range, even though the range only encompasses a relatively small portion of the...
Well FMJ, if'n you wanted a helper/partner for the trip, all you's had to do was ask. I would'a gone for it.
On the noise, my duece tractor does that in fourth/high range, I still haven't figured it out.
Glad it went well.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Pictures of FMTV Tires
I don't have my M818 yet to try, but I'm going to flip the hubs. I have the wheels ready to mount, and yes, they are beveled on both side for lug nuts; but then you would have to change the valve stem, as it would be facing the hub(if the hub isn't...
FMJ, I've got a buddy in the radiator business in the oil patch--all he does is commercial type radiators. If you need one re-cored, let me know as i have a spare, and can get it done for you and we just swap out.

If you keep poking around machine shops, my wheels are gonna start to sound cheap!
Another option would be to contact John at Stazworks--he makes custom wheels for the offroad crowd, and has a good reputaion.

I got to the shop this afternoon and took a couple pics of the difference between the two rim/bead types.
The automotive/light duty style is on the left.
RE: more on this
I may be able to help.
I have seven(7) bare wheel shells in the size 20" X 9" for automotive style tires(as opposed to truck or military tires).
It would be simple enough to get centers cut from 3'8" plate, and set whatever backspace you need.
These shells are new/unused, and...
Try Napa, as stated, or any auto parts store that caters to big trucks. Those valves are very similar to the ones used by the big diesel engine manufacturers(Cat, Cummins, Detwoit)
