I happened to find a Communication Shelter that fits into the back of the M37 with the troop seats still installed but folded upright. The plan is to restore this to an operational mobile radio shelter but not necessarily with the old teletype equipment.
Its OK to hate me for not restoring it to...

R.I.P. my friend, see you on the other side.
Reagrds,

I read about this show in the Military Vehicles magazine and was wondering if anyone from here was going to attend it.
My wife and I will be down there on vacation and thought it would be a good idea to check it out. Sound off if your planning on attending.

I have been looking for a CX-13290 control cable (@15') for the radio installation in my M1009 and have hit a temporary roadblock.
I'm wondering if anyone has stripped any out of a 09 that they still have laying around in their garage. The cable runs between the radio shelf and the dashboard...
I need help finding a CX-13290 Control Cable @ 15' long so that I can finish my radio install in my M1009.
I have tried all of the regular suppliers from Cali to SC but have not found one. I am completely open to ideas.
Thanks,
Bert
I have been looking for the size and angle of the bracket that holds the Control Monitor and Loudspeaker Control Unit to the dashboard bracket in a M1009.
Desc: Bracket, Mounting A3014069-1 (please see the picture, the yellow arrow is the one I'm looking for).
I already tried asking in the...

I picked up a GM steering damper (AC Delco 509-616) for a K5 and its 4+ inches shorter than the one I just pulled off the front end.
What are you guys running for a damper on a stock M1009?
Thanks in advance,
Bert
Last night I noticed a noise that almost sounds like a rocker or two ticking on the right hand bank valve cover. I had been doing an alternator rebuild and new belts two weekends ago and didn't notice this noise. I didn't make any road trips since then. I will be opening up that side of the...
I received my rebuild kits today for the alternators and I plan on rebuilding both of them and replacing the belts while I'm at it.
I have spent many an evening reading the TMs and posts about the above.
I would appreciate any words of wisdom or tricks of the trade prior to diving in on Sat...
I will be traveling from the Milwaukee area to the Wright - Patterson AFB area and back on May 12th.
I will have an empty 1 ton pickup truck on the way down and some room on the way back. I will be traveling on HWY 65 and 70.

I was doing a monthly inspection on my PEWS system and broke the male end off the antenna socket in the main unit. I still have the hard wire version functioning but will need the wireless version up and running.
I will need to repair this but I'm not sure were to find replacement parts. The...
I rebuilt my 24 volt distributor with new bushings, top shaft seal, coil, points, cond, rotor and cap a couple of days ago. The original bushings had about .010" wobble on the top end and I don't think anyone had soaked the oiler wick for the last 20 years. I even oiled the wick under the rotor...
I put the top on my Redheaded mistress.....my wife is happy now.
Formerly a S. Carolina FD truck. I'm still collecting parts for the winter restoration.
I put the soft top on my M37 last night and can't seem to get the front/windshield edge to stay put.
The canvas top has the rope bead in it but I think the rim at the top of the windshield is too wide. Is there another part missing or do I have to crimp down that lip slightly?
I picked this truck up a few weeks back and finally got around to taking a few pictures. I've been driving it around and its a blast.
I took an air hose to the under coating in the wheel wells and on the frame. I found Strata Blue that still has a shine to it. The truck has very little surface...
I just purchased this truck 3 weeks ago and I'm in the process of learning what makes it tick. This truck is a blast to drive.
The truck has had a new fuel tank put in by the previous owner.
I need to know what I should look for first. All of the other gauges work and the rest of the...
I have been on this site for a while checking out all of the different treads but I keep going back to the Deuce Modification and Hot-Rodding thread. I'm ADDICTED.
I'm located in South East Wisconsin and have been watching the Sparta, WI and Great lakes IL GL auctions for a Duece or 5 ton to BOB.
