To correctly identify your pump you need to read its data plate, located on the driver side. Typical model numbers are DB2829-4520 or DB2829-4521.
AFAK, those pumps all came with the pin at the end of the throttle shaft, as can be seen in the picture posted by Chaski.

In that case you definitely need to pull the splined hubs - or the front propeller shaft - or the first rear propeller shaft.
Putting the TC in neutral does NOT disconnect the front output shaft!
No need to pull the DS - as long as the front wheels are off the ground and can spin freely, because they will... both or one at least, due to the differential action. And because there is a sprag T-case, and the rear wheels will send power through it and all the way to the front axle/wheels.

If you thought about the Spicer 3053, it won't help you much. With the gasser engine it is not so much a matter of limited rpm but rather the lack of power and torque.
