Well, since I didn't get all the corners for the metal bows on the trailer AND someone liberated my snatch block, I called the Bros, and Sunday the 25th of January is good for them to cruz out there. I know Gary and Devin were asking about going, any one else interested?
Depends on how old the pump is...when the last time it was gone through. When low sulfer fuel came about, there was a rash of fuel leaks at the throttle shaft...like you have. When ULSD came about, a few more leaks surfaced, but not a whole bunch of them. If the truck has been sitting a while...
2 five gallon buckets work fine, one for the rear, one for the front. As for the filters, just let it sit for an hour after it is started and there will be no oil in the cans so it won't be a mess.
The 1st pic is of the penetrator from an AP .50 cal. In the pic of all of them lined up, the top row look like non AP .50 cal. Maybe tracers. I love searching thru old ranges. There are a few here in southern cal. I have only been to the Cadiz site, but the one in Anza Borrego i'm told is cool...
Kipman was kind enough to send me his originals. I scanned them and made a hard copy. I THOUGHT I put the scanned copies in the TM section, but it isn't there and I can't find the PDF in my puter. The only other place it might be is on a flash drive...that I can't find. Maybe it is at work...
Sorry man, no clue on how to take it apart and, to my knowledge, it hasn't been discussed here yet. You might just be the first one to tackle this project. Take some pics and post 'em up. There might be people here that can finger it out by looking at it. Welcome to SS, sorry I couldn't be of...
Easy Mikey! I think a DUKW or a LARC will do fine, no need for something as big as an ark;-)! You got snow, we got ground shakes!
BTW, I am STILL wearin' shorts! Although, I gotta admit, at 0430, it is a tad cool.
I was out in JV over the new year w-end. We were firing off rifles with no issues, but we were 13 miles in. I do know a guy who lives just to the east of Camp Rock Road who has a shooting range on his property. I'm sure he'd have no issues with us. Hundy, you know Steve's Place? I think it's off...
No cover ;-). The only issue I see is the grab handle on the tongue is bent up. Most of the trailers i've seen have bent tongues. They are short and VERY easy to jack knife. It bends the handles and tongues of the trailers. It makes the trailer track funny. It looks like it has metal bows...
One is a single cylinder, the round one. The other is a two cylinder, it looks like a figure 8...kinda. Both are air cooled. I believe they are the same CFM, the round one is a Midland and the twin is a Bendix.
The more the merrier! There will be a thread started for the next dez trip soon. I was just chatting with djfreema about this! nice MUTT! Do you need a heater or electric wiper motor?
The brakes are also an issue. I'm in the middle of taking care of them now. The drivers compartment is very cramped. If you are taller than 5'6 and over 180, it is tough to get in and out of it. Is the gun still on it?
