Just adjusted the steering lash on my M816. Made a world of difference. I had about four inches of play before, but now there is no noticeable play in the wheel at all. I just drove it on a rode that roles back and forth. This road gave me a hard time before. Now it's no problem.
I would opt for the duels on the front. It seems that your just barely breaking through with the weight of the front end (after all, you did drive out there). If you cut your psi on the front by half, the duals, it should just drive out.
They could loan it to us!

Maybe not the right war, but a field piece is a field piece is a field piece.
If you know anyone with a wrecker, they came with a set of lights to hang on the towed vehicle. Just plug it into the trailer socket and run it back to the towed vehicle.
There are better products out there. Go to an automotive paint store. However, nothing is good at taking off the CARC. The best way I have found to remove it is with a needle scaler. A friend tried a diamond wheel meant to grind down concrete, and said that it worked pretty well. However...
The problem is that everything is too heavy to make a utility trailer out of. It's also too high for most applications. A set of ramps would have to be at least 12 feet long to make it a car hauler, and then it would have to be a short car. The only thing you could pull it would be a deuce or...
$80 sounds like a lot of money, but, if you don't even have a socket or an air compressor, it might be money well spent. I suggest that you read some of the old threads on changing tires and see if you really think you should be trying it at some apartment complex. By the way, those split rims...
I drove one belonging to a friend. I couldn't get it to shift out of first gear. However, I didn't want to get it over 2000 rpm. He got in and pushed it up to 2500 and it shifted flawlessly. I'm just not used to winding one out that tight. Also, his steering is a bear. I don't know about...
I think the bolts were loose since the last rebuild ( I believe it only has 1000 miles on it since the last one). This shaft has the Spicer joints in it and all the rest have the Dana joints. Also, the metal tabs that bend over against the bolt heads were all tight up against the heads, but...
I just took a little ride around town to make sure everything was working on my M816. I stopped at a stop sign and when I started to ease off again, I heard a loud metalic snap and some clanging. On top of that, the truck didn't move. Oh s--t! Got out of the truck and looked down on the...
We've taken our vehicles to many shows and had just the opposite expierence. A lot of parents will ask if their kid can sit in the truck or climb inside to have their picture taken. However, we were always around and would have corrected the kids if they had started climbing all over. Maybe...
We have the deul 11.00x20's on ours. I think it looks a lot better than the singled setup. However, it's just my opinion. I do like the singles when you go to the bigger tires, like the ones on my M816.
I used a 3/4 hydraulic impact, rated at 1400 ft.lbs., on my 5 ton. They wouldn't budge. I borrowed a 1 in. pneumatic impact, ran 3/8 hose and fittings at 175 lbs. pressure to break them loose. It still took some hammering on some of them. I believe they had been on the truck for 15 years.
I was just wondering what happens when they go over the scales. When my 816 was delivered the driver said that he had to put the front tires up on the goose neck to balance the weight. It would be hard for them to move it with the trailer behind.
