    When to lock front hubs

There should be a set of instructions on the back of the driver's sun visor, if you still have the original.

can you pull a regular trailer

I have had the combo ball on my M1009 for about 10 years and it works great. The hole pattern is the same as the military pintle. Your M1008 is better for towing than the M1009 Blazer.

    changing oil lines any suggestions

Whoa, wait a minute! You're not planning to drive your CUCV IN Mexico are you? I have always been told not to bring any MV into Mexico and I sure wouldn't do it right now. I'm not sure I would even go to Mexico right now (personal opinion).

What do you use your deuce for?

Mine is parked in the front yard. It serves to keep the Welcome Wagon lady from knocking on my door.

Possible to use 9.00-20 tubes for 11.00-20 tires?

Tire probably won't burst, but they will go flat, probably quickly. If you are driving at highway speeds, this could be a problem.

For sure don't do it with a front tire.

    Oil Choices - Recommendations?

I wouldn't personally switch to a synthetic oil in a Deuce. Besides the cost, synthetic oil tends to worsen any minor leak. Edit: Just re-read your post and realized that you were talking about burning the synthetic oil. Don't know the answer on that.

    Oil Choices - Recommendations?

Last time I changed my oil I used the Delo 400 and I have used Shell Rotella in the past. I prefer single weight, so I used SAE 30, which is getting harder to find.
