To help it slide through the channel make sure the channel is clean. Also, find a small brush and brush vasoline in the channel the best you can. Then put vasoline along the rope section of the top to aid in it sliding in the channel. Good luck !
This technique has been very helpful...
Inside storage, no off road use, no towing is why many collector's type insurance organizations won't cover you. I am looking at towing, no inside storage and possibly some off roading.
JC Taylor requires inside lockable storage.
I tried to go with Collectors since I have my Deuce with them. Since my 932 is a tractor and I was thinking about doing some towing with it, Collectors said no towing. You also need to keep'em inside. Not enough room for my Deuce and tractor in the shop. I went with USAA and they have an...
If you are not sure about something get into the TM's first. If that doesn't answer the question then do a forum search. If that doesn't answer the question then post away. If you have a 939 series truck the TM's are awful. The 809 series TM's might provide some help as well. I've spent...

Item 1 is a magnetic plug that doesn't seem to have a opening to service.
Item 2 is a 5/8 square nut instead of the 1/2...
I found a used system and installed it on my deuce. It needed a replacement boot as well. I found one online and contacted the vendor took about 2 hours of searching. They are out there and are wonderful additions to the deuce.
I prefer the two gauges. Easy to read. Not a fan of a constant drain on the battery from the clock. I was able to use a spare gauge from my deuce on my 932 so common gauges are nice to have on both trucks.
