You should of course repair the broken bolt and replace the fan., and make sure it has good clearance, that fan is likely out of balance and will kill the water pump eventually.
I did just look at one of my regulators, it has a rather "soft" potting material, it could be silicone based, I have no idea how you would go about de-potting something like that.
I too am waiting for an update!
I see allot of them damaged, sometimes they just have the forks tilted up as the retreat and rip the bottom of the body panels.
But most of that is shown so the buyer can decide if they want it or not.
I looked around on Fleabay and the only seller I see claiming to have OEM switches are used.
You very likely ended up with a cheap Chinese knockoff, those have caused mucho grief for some here on SS, including burned up starters.
You see that hole at about 11:00? there is supposed to be a little tab on the switch that goes into that hole to help keep the switch properly aligned.
I am 100% wrong, yet almost right.
The most common 4L80E TCM, like 99.99% of them out there are not compatible, the same TCM was used on some early civi 4L80Es but they are scarcer than hens teeth.:(
Yes it is in/out on 325A/B not sure which way but for troubleshooting with a (EDIT, incandescent) headlamp for example the polarity does not matter, I would think it does matter how you connect the flasher itself.
You could also wire in a 24V headlight across where the flasher goes if you have one laying around, the turn signals should not pull enough current to light the headlight but a short of course would, this would make looking for the short easier and cheaper than a pile of fuses, you would...
I would put a fuse wired in where the flasher goes and make sure you do not have a short, of course the lights will just stay lit instead of flashing.
There are others with allot of experience converting to LED that will surly jump in and help.
The seat base you are looking at has the same part number UOC (use on code) for the basic,, A1 and A2 trucks.
Your basic M998 has a UOC of H13, the M998A1 is A13 ETC., you can see all the UOC codes under the parts description
While the early basic trucks may have had thinner plates the...
Welcome to the forum!!
When you disconnect the ground with the switch and you have any load at all on the 24V circuits you reverse polarity the 12V circuit.
You need two disconnect switches, one on the ground and one on the 12V connection to the batteries.
I can't see how this would kill the...
Winches of this type are all wired the same, if it has 4 contactors (as shown in the picture you posted) then two are switched on for forward and two for reverse.
You should have these "pairs" already wired together, usually the "pairs" are crisscrossed not beside each other (very clear in the...
