    J-pipe drain

Started the Deuce yesterday after an afternoon shower and blew wet tiny black specks all over everything. I'd like to weld a fitting on the bottom of the pipe and install a drain plug. Anyone know why this won't work?

    Deuce idle time question

With an open stack and all the rain we get here, what keeps the J-pipe from filling full of rainwater? Seems to me a coffee can over the stack when parked wouldn't be a bad idea or maybe some sort of drain valve like a pipe plug or an oil drain plug?

    Deuce idle time question

Please keep in mind this was just to get an idea of how long the Deuce would idle. I am not talking about running it continuously. WESTECH gave me the number I needed- 1/2 gal/ hour. Thanks buddy! Theoretically I would have rougly 90 hours of use on a full tank allowing for a gallon or so to be...

    Deuce idle time question

Anyone know how many hours the Deuce would idle on 50 gal fuel? After the power outage here in N. Alabama, I thought it might be nice to add a 24VDC to 120VAC power inverter. Please understand- I'm not talking about using the Deuce as a generator. I'm also not talking about running anything...

Fuel dripping out of this thing

I looked and found something similar, but wanted to be sure, so I turned to the experts here. I didn't know I had to do this hobby alone.

Fuel dripping out of this thing

Thanks y'all. I'll cap it at the pump, pull it off and save it for the next Ice Age in Alabama.

Fuel dripping out of this thing

I think this is some sort of servo valve and has to do with the manifold pre-heat system, but I'm just not sure. I need you help, experts! Fuel is dripping out of this (see pic). The closest I could find in the TMs is a fuel servo having to do with the manifold pre-heat system. I think it says...

    another bullet muffler install

That's quite a relief about it not being the head gasket. I'll have a look at the turbo intake, etc. Looking back, I don't think I would do the muffler installation again. Not enough noise reduction for the mess it makes.

    Mandatory Deuce tools

I got my wheels off using just a 1/2 inch air impact tool, 1/2 inch air hose and ran it off the Deuce compressor. The only way this worked out was to use it when the air was up to 110 psi and no lower than 90 psi. Any lower and it just wouldn't do the job, so that meant stopping until the air...

    another bullet muffler install

I'm also getting exhaust in the cab. Might as well just have piped the exhaust straight from the motor into the cab as much exhaust that's getting in. It's coming in around the gearshift. Trouble is it's been too fraggin' cold to get out there and really diagnose/ fix this problem. So... just...

    another bullet muffler install

Begs the question- can this installation produce too much back pressure and cause you to blow the head or exhaust manifold gasket? Reason why I'm asking this is because I believe my head gasket is blown causing oil to be blown into the exhaust. It's running down the stack as a black char and...

    Deuces in the weeds

There's a guy out in Gurley, AL that has 15 M35s, 1 M36 and some sort of big trailer (don't know much about those). His name is George Wertz. Anyway, from what I gather his wife is getting a little "put out" with him, so I said I'd post some pictures here to see if I could generate any interest...

Collins Foundation gets a German Halftrack

Never mind- the link is busted... Says it's an OT/ 810 halftrack. Here's a picture of it in the completed phase: http://www.site.ww2mv.com/OT-810_-_Collings_Fnd.html

North Alabama Convoy for GA Rally

Well boys- I'm out. I'm not going to Durhamtown and I no longer own "Tinkerbell". I drove her in to work today and someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I may possibly buy into another Deuce, but it's not in the cards in the forseeable future. Y'all have fun, DDave

    overdrive gears available soon

Dumb question I'm a little slow. Do you increase fuel flow by backing the screw out like a needle valve (counter-clockwise)?

Air Governor Installation- is this right?

That 'splains it- I plugged it! Will get a 1/8 pipe fitting with a screen on it and swap it this evening. DDave p.s. Gimp- I almost couldn't remember what this thread was about thanks to your avatar...

North Alabama Convoy for GA Rally

Updated today 8/29/10. Stop changed from Georgia Rest Area to Exit 3. There are several truck stops there for fuel and personal needs. Need a concensus about the route. An alternate would be through Scottsboro, AL on US 72. See alternate here...
