    Power steering for Deuce

I was just wondering if anybody has heard from the guy who was supposed to put together power steering kits at a very affordable price? I haven't been around here much lately because of harvest, so it is possible that I missed it.

    Newbie from Minnesota

Welcome. You will love a deuce down the road. They are really pretty basic and simple, but being a larger truck, the parts are quite heavy. Extra caution needs to be taken to safetly handle those heavy parts. About everything you could ever think of about a deuce is covered on this site. So...

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Garrison replacement drag link and assist cyl powered by a chevy (or something common) pump driven off the engine somewhere? Just for a wild guess. If that's it, good luck on keeping the price that low.

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Sounds too good to be true. Not saying that it isn't though. If it's that cheap, reliable, and durable too, would be a great deal..

    Alcohol as fuel

I would bet that the place to use it as a fuel would be a modern flex fuel vehicle. The properties of it would have to be pretty close to ethanol. But don't take my word for it. DO LOTS OF RESEARCH before adding it to the tank..

    Kudzu "kudzuol" and a multifuel?

Only true when you are talking cellulostic ethanol

    Kudzu "kudzuol" and a multifuel?

Get the goats or a decent yard sprayer. On your way to the store, stop off and fuel up your deuce with diesel. Its the best fuel for long term reliability. It's even inching back down in price. (for the moment)

    M923a1 alternator voltage gauge readings

:funny: I am not on any side here, but just got a kick out of that. Seems their is alot of truth to it and I can be one of the hardheads at times. My wife agrees with that. :)

    M923a1 alternator voltage gauge readings

Could that gauge need a better ground to the truck? Maybe there is some resistance on the ground side of things making it read lower then it should. Also if you bench test the gauge on a known 24 volt source, does it read higher ?

    Fuel efficient parking spots

Just to be clear, are you singling out the creation of the prius for all or most of Sudbury Ca.'s past pollution problems? Hmmmmm I think that looks like a facinating topic to do some google searching about.

    What oil to use?

Thats what I asked myself too. Only thing I could come up with is he pre charged the filter with black waste oil. LOL I am sure he didn't do that....

    What oil to use?

This is noteworthy from cummins.com It is in regards to servicing M11 and N14 Cummins engines. Maintenance Tips Cummins recommends using Fleetguard® LF3000 oil filters for L10, M11 and N14 engines. This single-canister filter with bypass eliminates the need for a remote bypass filter...

    What oil to use?

2cents on the filter pre-fill side story. I was always under the impression that this was done on large engines that have very large filters with the gasket surface vertical up. The reason for this is to prevent filter damage from the oil pump filling the empty filter too fast. Could potentially...

    PTO Disc Brake alternative

Just for the heck of it, I tried googling "m35a2 pinion brake" and lots of good hits came up from SS, and pirate, and others. It would be worth a try if you are wanting to dig into this. Remember, if you post to one of the older SS threads, it is then back to the front of the line. I have...

    5Ton Dump super singles?

I THINK you need to put longer studs in the front. I have never done this, so maybe someone else with experience with that will come in and confirm that.
