My voltmeter stopped working lately and come to determine that the ceramic resistor on the back is bad. I cant find one listed ar in a tm anywhere. Does anyone know the value of this item as I caould find an equivalent somewhere and just replace it.
replaced oil and tranny fluids and filters. Replaced my dash with a better one and dash carpet cover. adding an overhead console for cb and molle gear.
durability test with 400 miles a week for a few weeks as I move 150 miles to a new job. 51k and no problems.
I love My M1009 and you can tell by looking at it. Any moron trying to steal it has a death wish or is as dumb as a box of rocks. Grace is not going anywhere without me at the wheel.

New steering wheel, roadside flares mounted,
Changed the steering wheel for a little more style and comfort as this is my daily driver. Still need to change the center cap w a bowtie one. Mounted the roadside flare kit behind the Jerry can in the back.
New cup holders, tranny hump cover, misc
removed and insulated doorpanels. Added fold up cupholders from a corvette. I also added a pad to cover the transmission hump and get rid of the gap that was there between the Extreme liner and 4x4 shifter.
I am the second owner of this truck and the prev owner did not have it very long. It came from Ft Lewis and the Wasau USARNG had it also. It does have front back adjustment but still had the old style washer pump and motor so it was a contract gov vehicle.
THere was a pad there with 8/32 screw nut inserts so I just measured the distance and screwed it down. The screw holes ended up being dead center of the box.
I am going to either build or bvuy a tuff box thats lockable for the console between the seats. May just build my own.
Not real seur of the purpose of that. I do remember having them in our m1009,s in my ELM shop trucks. Just thought they were in all of them. It is a plastic piece and I just painted it Black Hammered like the seat mounts. I'll have to look in the tm's. May be a guard for wiring to run...
yup the screw holes are 8-32's so i just added a washer to give it a little strength and drilled the holes in the correct spots. presto!! works for now.
