My doors were supposed to be delivered Monday, arrived yesterday. Great looking set of doors. Mounting them correctly may take some time. Anyone have any tips or things to watch for during the install?
My only advice, do not buy national chain store generic belts, my experience is they last about two weeks. The extra couple bucks for quality makes a difference. Go with NAPA, Gates, ect.
Just had a Kubota run away this weekend at an equipment auction, she was wide open. Tried the mechanical shut off and throttle on the pump, no response. Had to cut the fuel line. I had heard of this, but Saturday was the first time I had ever seen it.
could be the return check on the injection pump. Disconnect the return hose from the pump, remove the check, has a small white ball in it. If it is stuck and has small brown specks in it. That is the problem. The pump will have to be rebuilt. Oringinally these pumps had a fiber gear that will...
I own one and been around several 1008's it has been my observation that they just shift hard sometimes, sometimes not so much, I think it is the nature of the beast.
Lifted my 1008 4". Used the tuff country kit, springs, blocks and shocks. Everthing went well. You should not need to mess with the steering. My steering was not effected at all after the lift. Lift was done four years ago and I have had no problems. Only extra parts I had to buy were extension...

Hell I use the same plate for three trailers. Now watch I'll get caught. We have built trailers and made up vin numbers, directed to do so by the state, and then simply stamped the numbers on the trailer once our vin was checked to make sure no else had the same number issued.
Both from GL, 74 was 2200, 71 was 1100, got lucky both trucks were in running condition, needed batteries and thats about it. Had them both shipped. The added cost sucked but made for headache free and safe recoveries. The 74 also needed an alternator which a buddy of mine just happened to have...
I lifted my 1008 4" , blocks in the rear and new springs up front, sent back the steering arm. The steering was unaffected by the lift. No change at all.
I have been running my 1008 for six years with no problems except for an IP rebuild. Not a powerhouse, but should outlast the truck with a little maintenance.
