CTIS started leaking at what I can only assume is a check valve at the wheel.
Attached is a picture of what is leaking. I've tried taking a screwdriver to it and no matter what direction I go with it, it doesn't stop.
Can I just remove this piece and block it off? Looking at the other 5 wheels...
Mods move where needed.
It's been a while since I've been on here, ignore the signature, I'll fix it later. We are short on boats and anyone who can spare a deuce or 5 ton cargo that is within an hour of Baton Rouge would be greatly appreciated. I will come and get it and pay for the fuel used...
I got my hands on a M1009 in lieu of my M818 and M750 trailer. Today I striped the inside and pressure washed the inside. I want to get the communities idea of the rust repair I'd be looking for if I brought it to a shop.
Here is my Picasa Web album if you want to see the full size pictures...
I picked up a M1079 for a member and got it topped off with fluids. I flat towed it to the house, that was an adventure in itself. Last night I was going over it preparing for the road trip to bring it to it's owner in Louisiana and noticed the battery gauge was in the low yellow. Got out the...
So after taking to someone today I got to thinking about the options of a drop in solution for my 818. The talk of upgrading to a 931 was brought up but I figured if I were to get rid of the 818 it would have to be for a 1088. A 915/916 wouldn't work for me as the pin size is 3" and using an...
I am eyeing a deuce roof and freight prices are more than the roof.
I will not use uship, as a prior service provider I know how uship works and it's other providers.
Just seeing if anyone is headed towards Texas, Arkansas, or Oklahoma.
I'm currently eyeballing a nice looking 260A generator and I guess the biggest concern is, will it fit?
This would be perfect as it is dual 260A (24V) / 160A (14V) so it meets my power requirements. Especially if you step down the 24V to 12V on a separate battery bank that gives you a relative...
So while cleaning out the cab and the transfer and transmission I noticed the pto plate on the transmission. I've heard of there being a pto off the transfer, is this true?
As far as pto options on the transmission, what options do I have if I were to add one and is it a live pto or stationary...
Got to the yard around 11 on Friday and was brought to the truck. Was told it was a non runner so I was hoping for a quick fix. Batteries were good and all it needed was a good priming and she came to life. Had an injector line come loose and ended up driving for over an hour on 5 cylinders...
I am looking at getting a new PT pump and can't help but notice if it is labeled military the price automatically jumps up a couple hundred. My question is are the PT pumps interchangeable between the small cam and big cams? I came across one that lists it fits both NT and NH engines but I also...
So I was wondering what the NHC 250 was used for in the commercial sector?
I would like to cross reference commercial parts and obviously need to know what it was used in. I've heard it was used in big rigs by Kenworth, just seeing if it actually was or anything else.
So I've been scouring through the searches on here trying to see what civilian alternator would bolt right in where the military one is and nothing solid. My searching skills must really suck.
I want to either change out completely the 24v to a 12v system or add a 12v alternator. Would prefer...
I am trying to sift through the tm's for the 939 and see where the primer pump connects to the ip and that is better said than done. Can anyone post a couple pics of the nhc 250 model of the primer pump to the ip and where it hooks up.
Thanks in advance.
To all interested. I am willing to assist in Fort Hood / Killeen , TX recoveries. I am a shipper on uShip but if we can cut out the middle man I'm all for it.
Number is in the signature, email is my username @ me.com
I am DOT & MC. Carry 75k in cargo insurance, and will go up if needed for the...
Yesterday I recovered a M923 out of Fort Hood, TX for a friend of fuzzytoaster. Drove it do him and she ran great. Shifted perfectly. Was a nice 100 mile trip. The last 30 miles the two oldest kids road with me.
I noticed on uship someone is needing a 105 from hood to del rio.
I am a service provider on uship and if I can operate outside of uship I would so much rather, it saves both of us money.
If the buyer of the 105, Guillermo J wants to contact me direct then by all means please do so.
I only...
I will be headed from Temple, TX to Baton Rouge, LA next week and have an empty 12' flat bed. From there I will be picking up the items I committed to and heading to Holly Springs, GA then to Port Everglades, FL. From there I will have another empty bed and can bring stuff back towards Texas if...
So after removing the primer and plugging the ports I finally found out where the fuel was coming from. The tac cable.
Normal?

I know I need to lower the pressure on the pump and put a bypass for when the pressure gets to high but this just seems odd to me.
