TM9-8031-2 Power Train Body and Frame Manual for the M37/M43/M42 etc series of trucks.
This post is to replace the link to a manual in this thread that I posted back in 2015. Back then I wasn't able to upload it to the forum for some reason, so I just included a link in the hope someone else...
Just wanted to chime in on replacing the fuel pump on the CUCV.....
Over 3.5 hours under/inside this truck to replace it. This just confirms to me that GM engineers (well engineers in general) are evil.
Pump on ours was working fine, but it was leaking on the flange in the middle where the...
I don't see it weighing that much empty. Mine has a camper setup inside (still not much extra weight) and the wrecker didn't seem to strain at all picking it up at full extension. Maybe 2000lbs empty I would guess.
I would imagine that it is 5000lbs full of whatever gear was installed inside...
She is getting a lot of maintenance and body work done, so the box was removed to make working on her a lot easier. Not sure if the box will go back on at this point.
Lifting it off the frame was easy. Removing all the bolts holding it down that were coated by the military in undercoating...
He made some for us for our CDN M35 (MLVW) trucks. Since there are no NOS data plates out there for those trucks.
Very nice guy. Very professional and great service. The price is also very good for what you get. Side by side with the original, they are pretty much identical.
If we need more...
This is on the MEP-002 but it will work on your 802A as well.
I got the flapper at a farm supply store for like $8.
Works well. Keeps the rain/critters out.
No. Just an add on for the CUCV since it is used for plowing (you can see the plow attached in the first pic).
Just a basic set of 12v flood lights from Princess Auto (Canadian version of Harbor Freight). They turn on with a switch on the dash (so that they can be left on all the time if needed).
Finally got around to taking a few pictures of that slide-in for the cable layer.
It is currently sitting in the M1008.
We do not have the spool that originally comes with it. But one could easily be made if needed.
I found nothing online other than links to parts of that generator.
6115-00-999-5675 is the NSN (National Stock Number), not the TM (Technical Manual).
Without the model number of the complete generator (It will start with MEP#####), you can't find the manual that has the schematics in it...
I am not sure which codes the industrial plug thing had to do with. It has been a few years. I am also north of the border so it is likely due to CDN electrical codes. Or it might just be local codes.
The generator panel does not power the complete house. It only powers essential parts of the...
That is good advise. We had a deuce in a local big truck shop once (we didn't have the tools to do the job so we had to get the shop to do it) and we got hit with a bill for 8 hours work from a job that shouldn't have taken more than 3-4max. We talked to the lead hand in the shop and he found...
Our electrician said we could only use the industrial power plug (or whatever it is called) if the building were commercial or industrial. No way would he install that sort of plug in a residential setting. Plus he said that the box that would accept it costs in the order of $600. So we had to...
Ours is outfitted for hauling tools and equipment to support the other vehicles as well as around the farm. Nothing special but we enjoy having the truck.
I can't find a picture of the truck completely outfitted, as we always set it up for what its needed before we leave. But it holds most...
Good luck if any of you decide to go forward with it. I hope it goes well.
We have been asked to rent our vehicles a couple times but decided against it each time. The people would either have absolutely no idea what they actually wanted (dicking us around with dozens of calls and emails a day...
We also have the support/cable layer slide in unit for the 5/4's. It is made to hold equipment as well as radios and 1-2 people (who can ride in it while the truck is moving since it has seat belts), but for the life of me I can't find the pictures I took of it.
I will try and get some pics of...
