    M135 spit'n and sputter'n

Go back to base engine checks. Sounds like you may have weak and or broken valve springs. Pull off the valve cover and give the springs a good visual check over. Look at them closely and a lot of times you can find a broken one.

Where do you source your parts?

I use Shell Rotella 15 40 and Napa spin on oil filters. I also put 1 gallon of Lucus oil stabilizer in the crank case. Napa filters are used all over the world and log millions of miles in many heavy duty applications with no issues. I have used them for years in my fleet and we have almost no...

Where do you source your parts?

Using a quality oil and good filters is the cheapest maintenence you can do. I would not skimp on that!

Horn works up to 60 PSI then nothing

Squirt some WD40 in the air line leading to the horn. That may help.

    Deuce transmission woes

The first and reverse gear is a sliding gear. Remove the top cover and make sure the gear is not seized to the mainshaft.

    Suspect M135 vacume advance problem

I would definately check the accelerator pump first. The old pumps are made of leather and when they are sitting around for a while or worn out, they can flip over and not pump any fuel. Also make sure the idle circut is not too lean. Adjust the idle mixture screws at the bottom of the carb...

    Transmission problem!?!

Take the transfer case out of gear and put it in neutral. Then spin the output shaft of the trans by hand to see if you can move the syncros back and forth. That should give you an idea of whats going on. You probably will have to pull the mainshaft of the trans and dis assemble it to see what...

New HH, now a lot of smoke and no power???

Have you checked the fuel pressure on the lift pump? Just because you hear it running does not mean it is pumping. Had one do that to me.

    M817 Transmission Grinding

Sounds to me like there may be a broken snap ring on the mainshaft. The gears are sliding on the shaft and not meshing properly. That will make it pop out of gear and not be able to down shift. Yes, the syncros could be worn a bit but unless they are toast ,you should be able to down shift with...

    m 211 dosn't up shift

Sounds like a linkage adjustment to me. Adjust per TM 9-8024 and give it a try. The linkage adjustment starts on page 355.

    Tranny rebuild

tiger422, I just got done going through my 3053. Memphis had all the parts I needed including the rollers. I think they were about a 1.50 each. If you need syncros and you want to buy new, that will cost you big. OD Iron has the best price I think on those.

    M35 E-Brake Q??

You have to make sure all you pivot points are free and not frozen. No broken springs. It's a pretty simple setup.

    M35 E-Brake Q??

The inner cable is frayed and probably ready to break or partialy broken already. Get a new cable. Should fix your problem.
