    M929 Dump Truck

if my memory is right from school, it should have the 8.3L cummins turbocharged aftercooled inline 6. from the few 939 series 5 tons my company used to have you should be good to go if you get it directly from eastern surplus or the like but if you get one straight from gl then it'll probably be...

The bottom line: nobody makes hubs for a 5 ton??

pardon the stupid question but how exactly does the sprag front drive axle work? and why couldn't one just swap out the 5 ton case for a deuce case?

jaxsof, you are right that is a picture of the M977 cargo, the spare tire is where it should be (behind the passenger side of the cab) but there is no spare there

    M35A2 Hillbilly Trailer?

i agree, great looking trailer, and as far as the dump bed goes i believe a good while back a member here was building a trailer out of a deuce chassis and thru the words of others was trying to make it a dump and a powered unit. he was planning on running a drive shaft from the rear output...

Large and "OMG it's HUGE" towbar feet to tow a deuce?

just a guess but i'm going to say the "ballbusting" ones are from an M88 Hercules tracked wrecker, and the other one sounds like the ones we have at work off our M984 wrecker for our M1070 HET systems
