I bought the m915a1 tractor from another Florida member earlier this year. I finally got to work on it a month or so ago. I stretched the frame 4 feet and added another 5 feet to the rear. We then painted it and put on super single wheels and 46" xml tires. Then we topped it off with our 3,000...
I have wired the tail lights back and have everything working except for the brake lights. I have looked on the schematic and can only find brake lights listed for the black out lights. The m915 has brake lights right?
If so please let me know where to look for the correct wire. We have...
I am getting ready to put lockers in both rear axles on my Duece. I can't decide between the Ouverson's or the Detroits. Anyone have a suggestion on what brand to go with? Is one more aggressive than the other? What brand would do better on the street?
I have replaced my standard deuce bed with a dropside. Sorry no pics. I did it in the dark. Anyway it's rusty, but could be saved if someone had the time or motivation. I dont have either.
Should I keep it, sell it, scrap it or give it away? Does anyone need a standard M35a2 bed?
Thanks.
Has anyone put some kind of valve in place of the drain plug on the m35's fuel tank? Any info and ideas would be appreciated.
I am replacing my fuel tank because of rust and I dont ever want to have to do it again. I want to be able to drain the water on a regular basis.
Thanks,
Allan
It never seems to end. I was under my Duece and saw a drop of water on the bottom of the fuel tank. Thought it was odd as the truck is kept inside my shop. I wiped the drop off and another showed up. I wiped the next one off hard and a stream came gushing out of the bottom of the tank. So I...
My Duece is a non turbo and up until this point I have not had the plastic battery box in the battery compartment. I have just installed one and now I am worried that I may melt it. Is this possible since the spark arrestor is right next to the battery box?
I replaced the ip head a few days ago and today I installed all 3 of Jatonka's fuel filter kits. I also replaced the master cylinder. I took the truck out for a spin and it drove great, but when I pulled back in the shop there was oil all over the drivers side of the engine compartment. Its all...
I just had to change th IP head out on my Duece. I am pretty sure that is not the first time it's been done on this truck. The engine has very low hours and I just cant see that it's from wear. I am suspecting dirty fuel and filters.
Like the title says - why do they go bad? I want to make sure...
I was getting ready to install my 5 ton injection pump on my duece, but then thought why not just swap the hydraulic heads. Can I do that or should I just replace the whole pump?
Anyone in central Florida in the mood to tow? My truck is broke down in Fish Hawk (Riverview) and I need to get it back to Plant City. I could probably pull it back with my 3500 and a strap, but I am not too crazy about doing that. So I am looking for some volunteers. :) Of course I would cover...
I am having to replace the injection pump on my Deuce. I have found a 5 ton pump close to me. The seller says that it should work just fine on my engine. Is this correct? Will it give me more horsepower? If so how much do you think it will raise the hp? Will I need to turn the fuel down to keep...
I have my Duce on a jobsite and was using it yesterday and it ran great all day. I shut it off for about 10 or 15 minutes and it would not restart.
I thought maybe the filters were dirty so I replaced them today. No difference. :(
Like I said it ran great at 160 degrees all day untill I...
I hope these pics loaded:evil: Anyway I got a great deal from greengem on ebay and received two hard tops in order to make one good one. It was alot of work. There was alot of areas that were rusted thru. I filled them in with the mig welder and also had to replace the lip along the inside of...
Just found a 18" 5 ton steering wheel at Clark Equipment. I asked to confirm if this wheel would fit a m35. The guy didnt know and had to ask someone else. They said that 5 ton wheels dont fit m35's. I am wondering if its just a couple of guys that dont know any better.
Should I order it anyway...
Do the hard top's cave in on the top from just bumping down the road or does it take some pressure from someone's fat $%^? I am wondering if I should reinforce the top before I install it.
Thanks.
